2 Minute Hair Tutorial
Comments Off on 2 Minute UpDo Hair Tutorial

I am loving learning new hair tricks from Mauve Hair Design and loving even more being able to share them here. When I received a package in the mail with this headband from House of Koopslie I was looking at their packaging, on the back they offered a handful of options on how to style your headband. The one that stood out to me the most was this 2 Minute UpDo. At first glance I wasn’t sure how to complete the look, however, with a super quick lesson from Roxann at Mauve Hair Design I was able to do this on myself facing this wall.

Easy Headband Hair Tutorial

How To “Two Minute UpDo” Instructions:

1. PLACE // Backcomb hair as desired and place headband around the top of your head as shown.

2. SECTION // Take a small piece of hair, starting from the cheek bone, and loop it around the back of your headband.

3. REPEAT // Alternate step two from one side to the other until you have a small amount of hair remaining in the back middle of your head.

4. FIX // Adjust loose ends and tuck in stray hairs that may have been missed.

5. FINISH // Take the hair remaining at the back middle of your head and tuck beneath your headband.

6. TEASE // Pull and tease different pieces of your hair to have it look evenly tucked in.

7. ENJOY // Hairspray to secure in place.

  • How she’s been asking me to tuck her in, with both babies by her head.
  • Guesssss what! @roxannredekop and I were chatting and we are going to be putting some video hair tutorials together. She’ll be helping me style mine and Sophie’s hair for our matching mom and mini photos and then she’ll teach you how to do it. I loved all your feedback on our first matching mom and mini hair post and I can’t wait to bring even more!
  • Trying to capture some product shots of the @sodastreamcanada FIZZI and this girl has other ideas. She's been getting involved so much with the behind the scenes (and in front of... swipe left) for the blog and it's so fun to see her loving it as much as I do. We introduced the SodaStream FIZZI into our home recently and have been enjoying turning our tap water into sparkling water in a matter of seconds. Curious about how it works? Sophie is giving a mini tutorial in my stories, I think I have a little YouTuber in the making.
I'm so excited to join the @SodaStreamCanada Stream Team this year and to start changing the world through bubbles. Up next, we are working on fun recipes and would love to share all your favorite flavoured water combos. C O M M E N T below what you like to mix into your water and I'll be putting together a blog post, linking your favorite mix back to your Instagram.

  • When I’m asked about what I have enjoyed the most about starting a blog, hands down the answer is all the incredible women I have met. I could go on and on about how freaking amazing this community is and how much each and everyone of you mean to me for being here. Sending some GIRL POWER into the universe today because today we are celebrating women, what we’ve accomplished in the past and what we will be accomplish in the future.
  • When you can’t decide between a french braid and a fishtail you do a little of both.
Thinking a little series of #momandminihair is in order. What do you think?
