It’s about time I got this recipe together. During the summer I was SO impressed by the smoothie that Paige from Little Bean + Co made me. Not only because it was healthy and delicious but because my kids gobbled it up as well! This berry and greens vegan smoothie recipe has been created a number of times since that day and I am sure many more times to come!
There are not a lot of ingredients that allow this to be super easy to make. It’s always so nice when a recipe uses simple ingredients that you most likely already have on hand. Paige literally walked out to her backyard picked the coloured greens, washed them and then added them to the blender.
You know what we are adding into our garden next year — those same coloured greens. I believe that those are what make this recipe so different than other recipes I have tried with greens. The rainbow coloured greens have a different flavoured then most. Instead of a bitter taste they are on the saltier side, giving your drink a whole new taste and increasing the richness of all the other flavours added.
Not only that, paired with the soy Vanilla Chai from Bolthouse the flavours (seemingly sounds like to much) are truly DEEEE-licious!
If you are looking for a great blender that works for an on-the-go family the protable 15 piece compact portable blending/chopping system from CuisinArt is a great option!
It works great for more than just smoothies either you can use it to create soups, sauces and crush ice. We replaced our magic bullet for this and trust me.. the quality is not even comparable.
Ok let’s get to the goodstuff shall we! Finally, here’s that delicious vegan smoothie recipe I promised to share!

The best part of all is that it is little kid approved! Just look at that big grin on Evelyn after having some (or wait… actually maybe it’s not that great because come to think of it, now they always want my smoothies… hehehe!!)
