Black Maxi Dress style with a Knot
10

Are you the type of person that loves taking your long shirts and adding a side knot? If that’s you then this style post is for you.

I have taken your everyday maxi dress and knee length dress and added a little extra touch, the knot. I fond that it just adds a special touch and also makes those adorable fall ankle booties that you just got your hands on look even better.

Both of my dresses I found from Pink Blush and work so perfectly for adding a knot. I find that the styles at Pink Blush to have the length that you are looking for and just enough stretch. Pink Blush also has a selection of cute maternity dresses that have that same stretch that would also be perfect for the addition of a knot.

Style One: Black Solid Maxi Dress

  • Evelyn’s looking at me like... “really I’m stuck with you all the time now 🤷🏼‍♀️” and I’m like, “ yah girl.. triple chin and all 🤣😂” but seriously... When we hopped into the car today Evelyn declared, “ YESSS MOMMY! We go pick up Sophie and Ezzie now!! Yayyyyy!” Poor thing had four more hours till it was really time.

I’m sharing all the details about my recent experience at @irisvisualgroup on the blog. Talking about what it was like going in with the girls, what age you should first bring your kids and what I’m going to start using during soccer games. Can you believe I have been playing half blind? Link in bio ( there's also more images of the three styles if you want to see before you vote). #ad #irisvisualgroup
  • Tomorrow starts the first full week of kindergarten for that confident girl on the right. I didn’t realize how emotional I was about the whole thing, until her first full day and I was basically a big giant mess. Here’s to hoping I can hold it together.
  • Overwhelmed by the number of you that responded to my stories today. Parenting is hard. Some days so much harder than others. The good thing is, we don’t have to do it alone. When we open up and share (like I did this morning to someone I’ve only met a few times) we give ourselves an opportunity to learn and grow. My hope for all of you is that through your journey, you constantly seek, grow and share. It makes a difference.
  • Drove out to @centralcitysurrey tonight with this girl. Lots of laughs as we tried on our five looks for this Friday’s fashion show! Say what!?
•
There’s going to be six of us walking the runway from 12:00 - 1:30 PM, plus tons of other activities happening right by the food court ($500 mall giveaway draw, selfie station, beauty demos and more) — come on out and cheer us on

  • I made simple syrup for the first time at home and two things:
1. DANG that's good!
2. It's WAYYYY easier then I anticipated
•
After cruising a handful of different simple syrup recipes online I combined a few that I thought would work, reduced the sugar and substituted cream of tartar for lemon juice. For some reason I never like to follow the directions the first time and always like to try out my own... it doesn't always work out, but this time it sure did!! You can see more of the steps in my stories for how to make your own simple syrup and sparkling water using the new @sodastreamcanada FIZZI One Touch at home. I always love when things turn out easier than expected! Does anyone want the full recipe on the blog?
