Cirque de Soleil | Kurios:
Now Playing – December 31, 2017: If you have been thinking about seeing Cirque de Soleil: Kurios now is the time. Kurios will not be returning back to Vancouver for sometime as they are headed to tour Japan starting in the New Year. I have heard reviews of it being one of the top Cirque shows seen by many avid Cirque de Soleil fans.

Van Dusen Gardens | Festival of Lights 2017
December 1 – January 7, 2018 • Hours vary depending on date: Over one million lights decorate the gorgeous Van Dusen botanical gardens during their festival of lights. Be sure to share your visit with #VanDusenFOL as well as use your tickets to get a free carousel ride.

Capilano Suspension Bridge | Canyon Lights
November 23 – January 28, 2018 • 11AM – 9PM: Walk along Treetops Adventure’s 8 suspension bridges and see lights hanging as high as 150 ft in the air. Also explore the main suspension bridge, Cliffwalk, the rainforest and canyon as they are all decorated in hundreds of thousands of lights. Lots of kids activities are scheduled and participation is by donation.

Starting November 24, 3017: Views that you just can’t see anywhere else combined with a number of non-holiday and holiday events. See their website for more details these family events; Storytime at the Gondola and Pancakes and Pictures with Santa.

November 30 – January 6, 2018 • Times vary depending on date: This year marks Bright Night’s 20th year in Stanley Park. Take a ride on the train and take in the sights of millions of decorated lights within Stanley Park, don’t forget to hop off and enjoy delicious food and drinks.

November 22 – December 24, 2017 • 11AM – 9PM daily (closes 6PM on Dec 24): Based off of many German towns tradition of hosting Christkindlmarkts, the Vancouver Christmas Market comes to life. Creating a place to enjoy family, local artisans, festive refreshments and so much more!

November 24 – December 30, 2017 • 4PM – 10PM: Hosted in a bright and spacious greenhouse you get the outdoor feels without being outside. With four Christmas-themed gardens inside parents can admire the beauty while your kids run around hunting down Santa’s lost presents. There is also a market, food trucks and drink sampling to enjoy.

December 2 – 20, 2017 • Times vary depending on date: Get out into the country and enjoy a relaxing time aimed at creating a magical experience for your children. This event while holiday themed does not go overboard with lights and doesn’t have a Santa experience, making for a more traditional celebration with a keep it simple mentality.

Winter Jubilee | Downtown Abbotsford Christmas Tree Lighting & Market
December 2, 2017 • 5PM – 9PM: Downtown Abbotsford comes together to create this festive evening event. There is lots to do including their winter market, photos with Santa and festive music and craft beer and wine stations. Fireworks start at 8:30PM.

I can’t believe I have never attended any of these 15 events. We always do the holiday train at minters and the last 3 years the CP holiday train. O and of course go visit Santa at the mall
