Comfortable and Practicle Shoes for a Toddler from Friendly Rooster

Does anyone else have a slight (ok maybe major) love for shoes? I can’t even get over my love for little girl shoes and seeing Sophie grow up to learn to put her own shoes on and be excited about the different pairs that she is wearing. A couple weeks ago a lovely package came in the mail from Friendly Rooster with two new pairs of shoes for Sophie and she was absolutely thrilled, I think she might just have a slight love for shoes also, ha!

After putting the first pair on her it was hard to convince her to take them off to try on the other pair, she loved them! I did get her to try on both pairs right away to try on their fit and her response to both pairs was such a delight. Shoes can be such a hard thing to shop for with toddlers when they are more particular about how their feet feel and as a parent we want to make sure that the shoes are a good quality for their growing muscles.

The White Petal Sandles by Livie & Luca that Friendly Rooster carries stood out to me right away. Their velcro strap make it easy for Sophie to slip her feet in and out, with the sun coming the slits by the toes allow for extra breathing room and the thick sole will provide added support to her feet and legs.

The pale pink Hunch Sneaker by Tip Toey Joey is the perfect everyday shoe, there are so many great qualities about this shoe that I discovered more after they arrived. The back of the sneaker is put together with two elastic bands that allow for an extra stretch while placing them on your child’s feet, this feature on the sneaker allows such ease when sliding in Sophie’s feet. “Tip Toey Joey takes pride in the quality and craftsmanship of their shoes. Each shoe is made from super-soft breathable leather that help protect children’s and infants feet.”

Friendly Rooster and Tip Toey Joey also team up to do so much more then just sell shoes, they provide a new pair of Tip Toey Joey shoes to a child in need within the United States everytime a pair of Tip Toey Joey shoes are purchased through FriendlyRooster.com. By working with a handful of charities specializing in infant care, Friendly Rooster is able to make sure that these shoes are going to children that will fully benefit and are in need of good, high-quality shoes. This is such a huge motion on compassion shown from both Friendly Rooster and Tip Toey Joey creating such an incredible impact in their community.

Friendly Rooster has an amazing selection of shoes for your littles that will keep your love for shoes growing stronger. • Just about to head to Whistler with this guy and so excited to spend some time just the two of us! It’s been a whhhiiilllleeeeeee
  • Part way through our lunch the kids started to bicker back and forth, creating a rather not-so-enjoyable moment for everyone. It's those moments that us as parents can make a difference, how we handle situations with our children allows them to learn and grow through our words and actions. We spoke about the importance of being kind and how much more enjoyable our time together is when we are all speaking respectfully and sharing. .

I then shared with the kids that that was exactly why I was taking a few pictures with our pizza, to share with others about the launch of @panago_pizza's 2nd annual Bullying Awareness and Prevention campaign. That Panago wanted to celebrate young people who are being kind and looking out for others in their communities. Our kids are learning everyday, it's our job to be great role models, encourage their kind behaviour and then celebrate them in their good choices. .

Do you want to take a minute to celebrate a child in your life? From now until Nov 25th Panago is asking for you to nominate a deserving youth and share a story them using compassion to drive change. Go to my stories for more info and the link to nominate #sponsored #asliceofnice
  • Hey 👋🏻 it’s kinda late... for some I suppose.. I’m usually up til midnight working away and wanted to hop on and share about my blog/small business journey. It was the start of this year that I really “proclaimed” this as my business and really felt so proud of what I’d created. It’s been A LOT of work to say the least but it’s brought so so much joy, opportunities and relationships. I love creating and sharing here, but most of all I love encouraging and connecting with YOU! Thanks for being here and for reading this. I think today I all the sudden realized we were in November and the end of the year is near. How did that happen?! If you made it through this little love note, share something about you below.. maybe how you discovered my blog/Instagram or what a goal is that you have? Excited to read through those comments in the AM.
  • That day we found a marble staircase and @juliechristinephotography made a fart joke. She gets me.
  • Proud mama moment. Sophie came home from kindergarten one afternoon reciting this Remembrance Day poem over and over. It’s pretty cute! Turn your sound on and listen too 😊❤️
  • This picture makes me melt. I set the camera on self-timer and wanted to get some action shots of the three of us working on the "do try this at home" section of the @guinnessworldrecords book. When I looked back at the captures and I saw Ezras very content grin, I just couldn't even. Seriously no words. It reminded me that our kids don't care how we show up (myself pictured with a messy bun & PJs), it's the time we put in that is remembered. •

#ad Thanks to @guinnessworldrecords for encouraging us to attempt one of their 5 maker challenges and seeing how much fun the kids had blowing up balloons and learning to make balloon dogs. After a few tries I completed on in 2 minutes, might not be the fastest time in the books, but we saw some good progress from my first attempt ha! If your kids love creating, reading about all sorts of random and crazy accomplishments then head to the blog and check out what's new in the Guinness World Records 2019 edition. #GWR2019
