When KEWE Clothing started one year ago, I didn’t know anything about the creative minds behind the brand. Most importantly, I had no idea how much I would grow to love both the brand and the friendships that would come out of it. A new follower came through on my Instagram feed one day and it caught my attention.
I spent some time “creeping” the @keweclothing Instagram feed and was loving what I was seeing, from the branded mugs to the bright and clear photography I knew that we would get along just great. I returned the follow and started to interact more with Angela as the days went by. We discovered that our daughters were close in age and that we also live just minutes from each other. (small world moment!)
Last fall after completing my graphic design program I was brought on the KEWE clothing team as their graphic designer. We brought two new fabrics and t-shirt designs to their Fall ’15 line including the ever so popular Milk & Cookies and Milk It designs. We also just completed some adorable new designs that launched for SS ’16 that were featured at the #kewebirthdaybash
With the support of many other local businesses we put on a super successful event celebrating KEWE Clothing and their successes this past year. Located at Montrose & George Abbotsford was a Shop & Celebrate where friends, family and fans could come and show their support to all the hard work that has been put into KEWE Clothing. Some highlights include the onsite Jack Coffee bar that was servings freshly brewed coffee for everyone in attendance. The most delicious sweets were set out for those to nibble (or in my case chow down) thanks to The Sweet Life Apparel for the sugar cookies, The Popcorn Bar for the three different flavoured popcorns and toppings as well as Marsh & Mallow for her ever so popular marshmallows.
Big thank you to KEWE Clothing for letting me come on board and help bring their first birthday party to life as well as many thanks to Yenny Paez Photo who was capturing the event almost all night long and shared these incredible photos with us.
