There’s a first time for everything. Last week it was my first time for High Tea to go. Thanks to Secret Garden Tea Company in Vancouver and their genius idea to have High Tea where ever one might please. For me, I wanted to experience High Tea on the beach. One of the most relaxing places for me is by the water, add delicious bit sized sandwiches, treats and tea to that, I’m in heaven! I have good news for you, you can do this too!

I’d love to know, where would you like to have High Tea to go?

It really is up to you. You choose the place, pick up everything you need from Secret Garden Tea Company and create the perfect afternoon in a flash. You could plan it for a special occasion (like your Mom’s birthday) or just treat a friend to a unique experience they won’t forget. Whichever you choose, it’s going to be good.

Myself and my friend, Samantha (The Family Jewels), met at Crescent beach for a little play date. I’ve had a lot going on lately and found this day date to be so relaxing. Out came our towel, and we set up the high tea. We chose a flat spot to avoid spillage and managed to get an area that was enclosed by logs. Perfect for keeping the kids in arms reach, however it really wasn’t hard to keep them near.

With the tea pots and delicious spread of treats, the kids weren’t going far. They were just as into it as we were. Just look at them pouring and drinking from their own teacups.

As we sat there I thought about how much my mom would love the experience. I am sure she has never had High Tea at the beach. Actually I am pretty certain most people have not. Which is what makes it so special. I am always thinking about gift ideas that are unique and meaningful. It really can’t get much better then quality time, good food, delicious drinks and a gorgeous setting. It’s time for me to start thinking, where can we High Tea next?

There really is no limit to it. Take it where you want to go. Even if you choose to head back to your own home and have Secret Garden Tea Company supply everything, it’s always going to be good.

Tips for the Best High Tea To Go Experience

  • Make sure to call ahead to order. Must be at least 72 hours in advance.
  • The closer your location to Secret Garden Tea Company the better. Remember you are getting hot tea! (We went to Crescent Beach and it was great, which is a ways away, just don’t be driving out to Hope or anything)
  • If you plan for the beach, bring your biggest blanket. The sand is no joke.
  • Make sure to plan your High Tea during store hours for pickup.
  • Check out the Seasonal High Tea menu from Secret Garden Tea before ordering
  • If you are looking for a Vegetarian option, bonus they have it
  • Relax and enjoy!

  • Road trips with kids (and a puppy!) are always.... entertaining. ha! It took us over six hours to get from our house to Apex Mountain (which should only take 4 hours) due to one of our children getting the flu along the way. Thankful that we fuelled up with @shell and checked out their healthier snack options before we left. Now we can fuel up and get snacks we feel good about at the same time. What's the longest road trip you've taken as a family? #shellpartner
  • Someone hit the double digits today! 🤭🤭 Happy Birthday Ezra!! Can’t even believe we have a 10 year old in the house. At dinner tonight we were talking and James said, “Ezra you are in your double digits making me feel old.” ... and he replied... “you guys aren’t old most of my friends parents are in their 40’s” Do kids really talk about their parents ages? 🤣
