“The greatest good you can do for another is not just share your riches,
but reveal to them their own.” ~ Disraeli
When Bernadette of Sequel Events reached out to me a few months back about a plan she had to bless another woman this Mother’s Day I very much wanted to be a part of it. After a couple hours coffee date with Bernadette I could see her passion and heart to bless others and be kind. I am so excited to share how this group of individuals brought their talents together to giveback to Heather, a hardworking woman within our community.
For many of us we have people whom we look up to, these individuals are our go to people and often they are ordinary friends or family members that are the cheerleaders in our lives. Sequel Events came across one of these heroes online and wanted to share her story this Mother’s Day as part of our giveback.
Sunday morning Heather did not know what to expect when Kelsey showed up at Megan’s soon to be home. The two ladies had their hair and makeup done and headed to beautiful Fort Langley for lunch.
Clint Bargen and Bernadette Maguire arrived at Blacksmith Bakery to help Megan surprise her Aunt Heather with lunch, flowers and a photography session. Heather was definitely surprised and had been suspicious of what Megan had planned but was not expecting an afternoon to celebrate in such fashion or for two strangers to present her with flowers and ready to snap some photos.
The two ladies strolled around Fort Langley while Clint Bargen from Clint Bargen Photography and Bernadette Maguire from Sequel Events Inc sought out the picture perfect locations to capture their time together.
If you have had the privilege of meeting Heather you will learn right away that she is kind, caring and gracefully wears the kindest smile. Heather’s niece Megan had a few more things to add about her aunt:
“There are many reasons why I love my Aunt Heather but my top one would be that she is there and has always been there for me even though she never had to be. Heather has been there for me when I was growing up and as I got older to answer all of my health questions whenever I have had questions.
My aunt is a nurse and has been there for me on several occasions. One event that stands out to me is when I was in a horrible accident several years ago, again she was by my side. From throwing my bridal shower to countless hours of marriage and wedding advice she has been there to support me.
She is truly an amazing person, she works hard at her job taking care of those in need (she is a Wound Care Nurse), she is creative, a talented cook, a baker, crafter, a great friend and a loving aunt who is there for her family members. I feel extremely blessed to have her in my life and that is why I want to honor her, she truly deserves it.”
