My Travel Must Haves

Comments Off on My Travel Must Haves

My husband and I recently won a trip to Vegas, B I G thanks to Lanka Jewels (where he bought my engagement ring). While on the trip I realized quickly that each day I used the same six items. I wanted to share these items with you as some of them are from my favourite local shops, and the others are products that I have purchased and are frequently used everyday items.

FLYNN SUNGLASSES | SHOP MACCS : These sunglasses were worn everyday on our trip, they are the perfect sunglasses for any outfit. I love the fit, comfort and style as well as the colour. The glasses were purchased from Shop Maccs, an online store based out of Vancouver.

MAYBELLINE MAUVE 475 : This lip colour is my ultimate go to. I am not a huge lipstick wearer but I do have a handful that I brought along with me for our trip. I found that each night I resorted back to my favourite, Maybelline Mauve, as (i feel) it complements my brown eyes well.

HEBALIFE SUNSCREEN : My mom has sold Herbalife for a number of years now. I have gotten to test out quite a few products but I have to say their sunscreen is one of my favourites. I don’t normally get sun burns, though at the start of the summer I need to be the most careful. What I love this most about this sunscreen that when I am wearing it I don’t burn and I get a tan #winwin

THE ORIGINAL ROUNDIE | ARROW HOUSE : This is the ultimate towel people. Arrow House is a Canadian stockist for The Beach People, the creators of these masterpieces and I absolutely adore mine. If you are Canadian and looking for a place to purchase, Arrow House has two of The Beach People’s roundie designs available. The size is incredible, it almost wraps around my body two times and it spans my height as well. If you are looking for a towel to double as a blanket look no further.

TOMS : My everyday shoe. I am currently on my second pair of Toms as I wore my first ones out completely. These are one of the most comfortable shoes that I own and are perfect for travelling. The plane ride is always more comfortable when you have a nice pair of shoes that fit like a slipper.

PASSPORT HOLDER | PECAN TREE CREATIONS : Ok so no, I did not use this item everyday, but during our main travelling days it was super handy. Our passport holder is essential for storing our passports and keeping them safe. This was our first trip utilizing our passport holder from Pecan Tree Creations and I absolutely 100% will never go back. If you don’t already have a specific storage for your passports while travelling I highly recommend checking out Pecan Tree Creations store, she does custom orders too! Another #winwin

  • I’ve been trying to convince James that he needs his own “blog” Instagram account since he might be getting just a little bit more involved by the new year (starting with our holiday guide). I’ve almost got him convinced, it’s just choosing the handle that is the hard part. 😂 taking suggestions 👇🏻👇🏻 comment below something witty below... Keep in mind he has already declined “joyfuljames” (A little background of where CW & JW comes from, it’s mine and James’ initials)

  • Today’s slow moving, cozy feeling Saturday was just what I needed. Currently in bed with Sophie asleep beside me wondering if I should go to sleep or get my butt up and get some work done... decision decisions.
  • Have you heard the saying, "The Days are Long, but the Years are Short." Whelp, who's ready for the days to feel even longer with this cold draft called winter that just rolled in. I always find the days seem even longer when they are spent inside. With knowing that you are going to be spending more time inside it is important to think about the quality of air that you and your kids are breathing in. Fun Fact: Did you know that the air quality inside your home may be 5X worse than the air quality outside. Say What!? We've been improving our indoor air quality and warming up our bodies with the new Dyson Cool + Hot Link Air Purifier. Sharing more about this product (and why my Mom keeps saying she wants it for Christmas) on the blog. Click profile link.
