Simple Studs Shop Spotlight on Creative Wife and Joyful Worker
Comments Off on Shop Spotlight: Simple Studs

I love discovering new businesses and it is such a major characteristic of Creative Wife & Joyful Worker. From the beginning I have been looking to discover new businesses just started out and even learning from those businesses that are totally achieving incredible sales and growth.  A few months ago I was introduced to Simple Studs and I fell in love with their jewelry line. Their pieces are elegant and breathtaking, not to mention are overflowing with so much meaning!

In 2014, Jordana, founder of Simple Studs, let go over everything in her life that wasn’t serving her. She deciding to take a trip across Canada with two girlfriends and says that by the time they hit the Pacific she was a different person. Jordana wanted to have the space to live the life that she wanted to create, by letting go of her what was holding her back she was able to do just that. That is when she decided to move forward and create her business, Simple Studs.

Simple Studs is an online shop that is filled with remarkable jewelry, I love how their pieces are explained on their website. “Just like a loved one’s jewelry you inherited, there is power in wearing something that reminds you of something or someone important. We share the symbolic properties of each stone so you can wear pieces that mean something to you. That is what supports our mission, whether you believe stones can heal is completely up to you.”

I asked Jordana to highlight some of her personal favuorites from the shop, I love hearing from the creator about what stands out to them the most. “My personal faves are herkimer diamonds. I went to the mine this summer with my new love, and we smashed open rocks, picking them from the ground. I just love the idea that I’m the only person to touch them between the earth and their forever home! It’s no surprise they’re our top selling stud.”

Since starting her business Jordana has found freedom in doing what she wants, she expresses it to be amazing! “That kind of creative control in business really sparks my imagination. I’m always looking for new ways to get the word out there by being audacious and a little bit silly. Most of my ideas get toned down when I run them past my family or other entrepreneur friends- but it’s crazy fun to dream them up.”

Simple Studs is mainly sold online, however Jordana has plans to head our on more road trips and bring her studs along with her. Attending more pop-up shops and meditating in crazy places are all on her agenda this year.

When I asked Jordana for advice for someone who might be starting their own business I loved what she had to say, “Make friends with other entrepreneurs; the ones who are real, who have done it for a while and get what you’re going through if things get tough. You don’t have to do it all yourself if you have a support system who gets it.”

  • When James and I first met (at a tight and bright birthday party) the first thing that I learnt about him was that he was a father. I’ve always known him as a dad and knew right away when I saw him interacting and parenting Ezra that he was marriage material. Love how he parents and fathers our children. Happy Father’s Day to this guy ☝🏻 love you babe! (Posting early cause I’m gonna try to stay off the phone tomorrow.. as a little Father’s Day gift) ☺️
  • Has everyone else noticed the overload of mosquitos right now? I can’t even handle it. I’m pretty sure if I wore this @gentlefawn shirt outside right now I’d be covered with bites in two seconds.
