I was day dreaming abut summer the first time I made one of these non-alcoholic sparkling mango slushie drinks. It’s the perfect drink recipe for a hot summer day, a little fancy but super easy to put together. Trust me, once you make one you’ll be dreaming about summer too!

I’m a fan of the popular social soda drinks from Brown’s Socialhouse that include soda water and flavoured slush. With that drink in mind, I wanted to attempt to make a healthier alternative. Well aren’t I glad I did because the result is ever better than I thought!

This year I happily joined a partnership with SodaStream Canada. SodaStream takes your tap water and turns it into a sparkling drink in just seconds. I am so excited to be invited onto their “Stream Team” and start sharing how we can change the world through bubbles.

SodaStream is an elevated way to stay hydrated, especially in these upcoming hot summer months. Sophie shared a little mini tutorial about how it works on our Instagram recently, but if you missed then you can see another tutorial here.

I love how convenient it is to make from home and how much the kids have enjoyed creating and drinking sparkling water themselves. We can create fun drinks in seconds with the SodaStream flavours and not have to worry about high sugar consumption. This is going to be a game changer in summer as it will take the stress away from making sure the kids consume enough water to stay hydrated.

Non-alcoholic Sparkling Mango Slushie Drink Recipe

*Makes Two Drinks

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 Cup Frozen Mango Chuncks
  • 2 TBLS Water
  • 1 Bottle SodaStream Sparkling Water
  • Ice
  • 2 Pieces Dried Mango (garnish)
  • Lime (garnish)

Directions:

  1. Add your frozen mango chunks (or desired mix of berries/fruit for slush flavouring) into your blender. Add about two tablespoons of water, should just be enough to soak into the fruit.
  2. Turn on blender and mix until your slush is thick and smooth
  3. Use your SodaStream, sparkling water maker, to create one bottle of sparkling water. Press down on your SodaStream until you hear 3 pumps to create the strongest fizz, hold down for less time if you prefer it not as bubbly.

  4. Fill your glass with ice.

  5. Pour your home made sparkling water into your cups.

  6. Slowly add your mango slush on top of the ice so that it rests on top. The ice will keep the slush frozen for a longer period of time.

  7. Garnish with a dried mango slice and straw.

Sophie loved being a part of creating this drink. She was the one that created the sparkling water from our SodaStream and helped me add the mango chunks into our blender. I was happy I could capture her as she took her first sip trying out our new recipe. It was no surprise that she loved the results.

We love using our SodaStream to make drinking water more fun. Whether it’s creating recipes like this or adding some of the SodaStream flavours. Both are great ways to get hydrated and reduce sugar consumption.

I hope you love creating this Sparkling Mango Slushie Drink Recipe, they are one fun summer drink that you can feel so good about drinking. We are so excited to share more recipes with SodaStream, make sure to come back and check those out too.

  • Got to hang with some goats and do a little toga today, with about 400 other people. Have you tried goat yoga? Would you??
  • There’s some new faces around here and it’s been a while since I did a little intro, an about me per se... just a little bit more random.

1. I’ve lived in the same town my whole life. Some may think it’s boring.. I’d call it loyal 😅 .. either way, I know a lot about Abbotsford.
2. If you hold your hand up, palm facing away from you. Pull your thumb back and see how far you can go. Mine can touch the back of my arm, it’s forever been my “talent”.
3. It’s been 5 years (almost to the day) since I started my blog. Growing up I wanted to be a nurse, then went to school to be a police officer, changed gears into business and marketing, graduated with graphic design and its led me to hear. I never had big goals or felt like I was on the right path, but motherhood and this space has brought me all the feels.
4. We’ve been looking for land to grow some flowers of our own. My husband grew up on a flower farm (both the peonies and iris’ pictured are from their farm), property prices can just go ahead and come down a little now.
5. I don’t know if the feeling of being done is for real.. like we feel like we are done having kids but I’d be fibbing if I said it doesn’t come to mind every now and again.
.
That’s all for now friends. Share a little something about you below — say hi if you are new hear and thanks for reading til the end 🥰🙌🏻
  • Throwing it back to the other day when I went for an evening dip with my beaver @float.eh — it was such a hoot heading to the beach with @juliechristine_xo and gave me a peek into how much fun this summer is going to be.⠀ ⠀
#ad As you can see these aren’t your typical floaties... or should I say @float.eh ’s 😉 They are proudly Canadian, made with quality in mind. You gotta check out their website and see what other fun Canadian designs they have. [ go to float-eh.ca or see my story highlights for the link ] 🇨🇦
  • “When’s the last time you did something for the first time?” Those were words spoken to our group before starting our Tough Mudder course this past weekend in Whistler. Holy moly guys, I was nervous getting started on that course. Let’s just say... nervous shits are real 😅😂🙊 but that’s what makes it so great. Doing something that literally scares the shit outta you. We all pushed through, all 16km and 25 obstacles and it was FUN, hard but really freaking fun. Even though I’m hobbling around today, dang foot cramp (and literally sore all over) I’m so pumped on doing something new, pushing myself and having such an amazing group of friends tackle it together.

PS our men of tough mudder not pictured but SO equally appreciated.
