Light Lips vs. Dark Lips

Style & Beauty

I am not a very adventurous person when it comes to purchasing new makeup products. Usually I stick with my everyday concealer, mascara and liquid eye liner and I am good to go. Today we are trying something new and we want to hear from you, what look do you think looks the best? My sister and I got together to test out The Lip Pencil by Bite Beauty (exclusive to Sephora) in two different colour ways; a classic nude (020) and a sexy purple (044).

At first we wanted to share how easy it was to change your look from day to night. With the switch of your lip colour and hairstyle you can easily create a whole new look. Then we got another idea, since both looks are so drastic we wanted to hear from you. We wanted to ask which look do like best? Keep reading to find out what we chose as our winner too!

Option One: The Lip Pencil by Bite Beauty 020 + Honeycomb Lipstick

When applying the The Lip Pencil we both have a different technique. Roxann outlines her lips with the pencil, while I use it to cover the entire base of my lip. I find that covering the entire base creates a darker outcome overall (for both options). I’d say there is no right or wrong way to do it, find what you prefer and do that!

Option Two: The Lip Pencil by Bite Beauty 044 + Whiskey Lipstick

In the last image you can see more clearly the difference in colour from how Roxann and I applied The Lip Pencil.

What can we say, you just can’t say no to a classic nude! Well, that was our favorite, what do you think? Are you a fan of the sexy purple or are you with us and prefer the more natural nude?

You could also combine the two colours to make a lighter shade of purple that would be gorgeous… or if you’re feeling really adventurous do an ombre lip going from dark on the outside and light in the middle. It takes some fiddling but it’s so much fun to wear!

Ohhh I LOVE both of these suggestions!! I really need to be more adventurous when it comes to makeup. I think I might have to try this! Combining would make a beautiful colour!

  3. I love the natural nude
