This post is in partnership with The Loden Hotel. As always all views and opinions are my own.
What is one thing that every mama could get more of?
…Peace and quiet. Am I right?
I know for myself anyways, it is few and far between the amount of times during the day month that I actually get some alone time. Usually it is a few minutes here and there between pick ups, drop offs and after bedtimes. Wouldn’t you like a whole night off, dreamy right? I was fortunate a few weeks back to get the chance to experience The Loden Hotel and to soak in a whole lot of that foreign peace and quiet I was talking about.

Two weeks ago was my first time visiting the award winning boutique hotel. Myself and three other friends were invited to stay for a mamas night out. I had always heard good things about The Loden Hotel and throughout my visit I was able to see what all the praise was about. From the excellent dining experience to the luxurious feather pillows. Let’s start from the beginning shall we.

When we first arrived at The Loden we pulled up outside and were offered to have our vehicle valeted. As our luggage came in we were able to promptly check into our room. We had reservations already made at the restaurant downstairs, Tableau Bar Bistro. With a quick freshen up in our chic and modern room we were headed back downstairs for dinner.
Initially we had planned for two hours at Tableau, then four hours later… we were done. It was honestly that good. We didn’t want to leave. Tableau was another first for me, it was highly recommended to try the Mushrooms on Toast. Though we didn’t try that (a couple of non-mushroom eaters at the table) we did try a spread of appetizers, desserts and cocktails. Every dish was created in a timely manner, has an attractive presentation and was full of so much flavour. I think our favorite just might have been the brussel sprouts and beet salad.
If the restaurant stayed open later we likely would have spent even more time there as the atmosphere was fun and conversational. I noticed the wait staff to be very attentive and always nearby when we needed someone. As our night came to a close and we headed up for bed, we were all looking forward to a comfortable bed and an uninterrupted night’s sleep.
With a good night sleep behind us, we woke up refreshed. The Loden Hotel has an incredible breakfast in bed selection that is very much worth it. Chicken on waffles was a first for me, and most definitely won’t be a last. Other great breakfast options include fresh bagels, yogurt and granola, fresh fruit and more.
We enjoyed a morning of laughs together as we sipped hot coffee and nibbled away on the most delicious spread. Mamas night out was such a wonderful treat. The time away with friends at such a relaxed, comfortable and luxurious hotel made our stay so memorable.
