5 Current Glasses Frames from IRIS

Five of my Current Frame Styles & Two I Want to Go Try

Mom Lifestyle

I first started wearing glasses just over five years ago now, when Sophie was about six months old. It was such a big adjustment for me, since I didn’t grow up with any visual impairments. It didn’t take long for me to get used to it, though. Frame styles have come a long way since then, and I love being able to change my daily look based on the frames I decide to wear.

I’ve put together my current five frames, all available at IRIS. Over the years, I have shopped at a few different eyewear places and I can tell you it’s worth it to spend a little more on frames and ensure you are getting great quality.

I’ve put together my current five frames, all available at IRIS. Over the years, I have shopped at a few different eyewear places and I can tell you it’s worth it to spend a little more on frames and ensure you are getting great quality.

No other pair of frames that I have bought have lasted as long as my first pair of frames from IRIS: the Nat & Coco frames listed below. This pair is what has kept me going back for more. I even decided to invest a little bit more in my frames and splurge on my favourite style (the Tiffany & Co. below), because I know that they are going to last me for years to come.

Five of my Current Frame Styles & Two I Want to Go Try:

Nat & Coco: Mist

This style I’ve had for a few years and it’s still a go-to frame. I love the business on the front and the party on the side details. They are perfect for everyday wear as glasses, and they would also look great as sunglasses, as the frames are a little wider.

I couldn’t find the link through the IRIS website, but you can always ask your IRIS store if they have them available.

Micheal Kors: MK3018

These are my first pair of metal frame glasses. They have done amazingly for me. I’ve walked straight into a door (don’t ask, lol!) and when they bent out of shape a little, I brought them into the Abbotsford IRIS location and they were able to tweak them back into place within a few minutes. I wear these most often at my computer as I had blue light protection added to the lenses.

Tiffany & Co.: Tiffany 1837

My most recent pair of frames are these Tiffany & Co. round sunglasses. I had transition lenses put in so that they work great both at home and while I’m out and about. I was getting frustrated with bringing both my prescription glasses and sunglasses around everywhere with me. These are the perfect lenses to wear on days that I know I will be in and out of the house a lot.

IRIS carries the Tiffany & Co. line, though you may not always be able to find the exact style on their website. You can always ask your local IRIS about ordering a pair in store to try before you buy.

This summer, I thought that I had lost these babies and I could have cried. These have been my go-to prescription sunglasses for the past two summers. They are the first pair of high-quality sunglasses that I have ever owned, and HOLY CRAP, do I ever notice a difference.

I’m not drawn to grab cheap sunglasses anymore, even just to try them on in stores. Once you own an investment pair of sunglasses, you don’t want to ever go back.

Maui Jim: Sunglasses

This year, for the first time, I invested in a pair of high-quality sunglasses that didn’t have a prescription. After I started wearing contacts last fall, I realized that I needed a pair of sunglasses that I could wear with my contacts in. These are a larger frame, so they’re quite different from the other styles that I’ve bought so far.

While browsing the IRIS website, I found a couple of new styles that I wanted to try out. I’ve been looking for a nice pair of tortoiseshell frames that I love, and these Esprit frames check off all the boxes. Also, how fun would these heart shaped Chloé frames be as sunnies? So cute!
