Favourite Places

It’s no secret, Robson Street is one of the most popular places in Downtown Vancouver. It’s a convenient central spot for locals and tourists to flock to that has a little bit of everything you need from beautiful hotels, great shopping and dining. I’ve put together some of my favourite places to go and things to do on Robson Street Vancouver below.

This past week we took a girls trip and explored Robson Street in collaboration with the Robson Street business association. Here is a list of our Robson Street favourites that can be found within the three blocks between Burrard and Jervis.

Where to Stay | Hotel on Robson Street Vancouver

Boutique style hotels always win my heart and I’ve truly never stayed in one quite like this. The Blue Horizon Hotel, located on Robson Street Vancouver, is very unique in that each hotel room has a balcony. Not only that, but each room is a corner balcony, giving you the best possible view of the city and even some rooms, like ours, the ocean.

As you can see in the image above, the rooms come out from the building creating corner balconies for each guest. It adds to much value to your stay, being able to spend time outside and truly absorb the Vancouver city views.

As I shared about our stay through Instagram and on my Instagram stories I had a number of people also share how much they loved staying at the Blue Horizon Hotel. The number one comment was about how comfortable the beds are.

Truthfully we didn’t explore much else of the hotel. We got back from dinner after the pool/hot tub was closed so I can’t share my experience on those amenities.

The little cafe restaurant at the entry of the hotel is adorable and I hope to go back and try the food another time when we have more time to explore, shop and eat downtown Vancouver on Robson Street.

Where to Shop |Shopping on Robson Street Vancouver

So you are looking to get your shop on? Robson street, Vancouver is the place to. Mostly everything you need is within a few blocks of each other on Robson street, between Burrard and Jervis. We spent the evening and early morning shopping. So much to look at!

Below is a list of some of our absolute favourite Robson Street shops.

5 Favourite Shops on Robson Street Vancouver

  1. Indigo // One of my absolute favourites. Perfect for the whole family with their kids section, endless books and magazines as well as all your home decor needs. I love grabbing a coffee and roaming through all the corners of the store.
  2. Zara // One of my current favourite clothing stores. Another store that’s great for the whole family as they have a large sized men’s, ladies and kids section.
  3. Aritzia // We likely spent most of our shopping time in Aritzia. It’s amazing to see how far this Vancouver based brand has come and how much of Robson Street they take up. You can’t miss it!
  4. Get Plenty // Grab some photos of their store front, their store experience starts from the moment you make eye contact. Their store is painted to make a statement, I couldn’t resist getting a few photos out front.
  5. Saje Wellness // Tell me you have heard of Saje?! If not, this is another Vancouver founded business taking the world by storm. Their Peppermint Halo is a must, you can ask for a sample from their customer service rep as you enter the store. Warning, once you do though, you’ll likely be just as hooked as I am.

This is just a VERY small taste of some of the shopping on Robson Street Vancouver. Get a full list of all 150 shops on Robson Street online here.

What to Eat | Robson Street Restaurants

Hungry yet? I could go for the feature Spaghetti from Zefferelli’s Restaurant right about now. #drooling

There are around 45 places to eat on Robson Street, from Paris Macarons and candy shops to eggs benedict and italian heaven. Whatever you are craving, there is a good chance you will find it in this list of restaurants on Robson Street. Below are a few places we enjoyed and would highly recommend.

Zefferelli’s Restaurant | Italian Food on Robson Street

1136 Robson Street, Vancouver, BC

Yum! The first thing that came to mind when I was thinking of what to write.

We had a dinner reservation and were seated at a table at the windows overlooking Robson Street. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very inviting and warm. While seated at the window we were able to enjoy the beauty of the lights down Robson Street as the night grew darker.

Each of us enjoyed drinks from their feature cocktail list. We decided to grab a side dish or salad each and then split the feature spaghetti and meatballs. Such a good idea! I loved the beet salad, the bread they serve to each table and those meatballs, I don’t think they could get any bigger and more delicious.

Earls Restaurant | Brunch on Robson Street

1185 Robson Street, Vancouver, BC

I spent seven years working and eating at Earls and I still LOVE it there. The food always hits the spot and they consistently provide good service. We arrived at open on the weekend (note brunch only available on weekends) and were able to sit overlooking Robson Street again. The large windows allowed the sunlight to shine in during our stay.

We discovered that between the hours of 11AM – 12PM you can enjoy brunch on happy hour. Score! The meals were so reasonably priced for happy hour and we each enjoyed a brunch item along with a mimosa or two. #droolingagain

1141 Robson Street #1, Vancouver, BC

Just look for the cute Paris inspired bakery coloured in green. The seating out front invites you in and their dessert on display will have you staring in admiration. The front of the store you can grab items to go while the back of the store is a quaint little cafe set up that you can sit, relax and enjoy.

We had a box of macarons in our hotel room and got to taste a few of their flavours. Some of them even had jam fillings!

During our girls trip downtown after our Soar Over Taiwan experience we headed into Gastown for chimney cake cones from The Praguery in Gastown. Also be sure to check out Robson Street for some of the best shopping and restaurants. […]
