I finally convinced my husband that it is a good idea to paint our new to us house walls white. Anyone else working on their men on this? For some reason, he was very strongly against it. However, he agreed. Our Living Room and Kitchen are now white and it is time to start styling. So pumped! With styling comes a lot of decisions and a lot of pinning! I am a huge fan of Monochome home decor and also a huge fan of the three bloggers highlighted below. We will call this a little teaser home decor post before I start revealing how I’ve styled my home. Each of these ladies were asked to style three monochrome products within their homes, let’s see how they did.

I wouldn’t have thought about putting the Perpetual Wall Calendar by my bedside but I am loving the idea. With the ability to turn the page to every new day it is the perfect place to wake up and start fresh on a new page like you do with every morning.

Adrienne of Adrienne Neufeld

Using a shelf is such a great idea to have both the calendar and the Sprig West cactus wall hang. Great idea to show that it doesn’t need to be hanging on a wall, but looks great up upon a shelf.

Samantha of The Family Jewels

It’s nearly impossible to have my toddler keep her hands off room sprays. Looks like Samantha’s little one is the same. Love the Monochrome feel in this office space of hers and how she aligned the calendar and wall hang side by side.

Pretty neat right. I love seeing what people come up with. They were given the exact same products and asked to style them within their home how they see fit. This could be the bedroom, office living room… where ever they wanted. I want to hear what you think, which one are you drawn to? Share in the comments below.

  • I had my wisdom teeth out today and I feel like this wall is rather fitting. I have such a hard time resting, staying home and doing nothing.... More awesome now please.

  • Got to hang with some goats and do a little toga today, with about 400 other people. Have you tried goat yoga? Would you??
  • There’s some new faces around here and it’s been a while since I did a little intro, an about me per se... just a little bit more random.

1. I’ve lived in the same town my whole life. Some may think it’s boring.. I’d call it loyal 😅 .. either way, I know a lot about Abbotsford.
2. If you hold your hand up, palm facing away from you. Pull your thumb back and see how far you can go. Mine can touch the back of my arm, it’s forever been my “talent”.
3. It’s been 5 years (almost to the day) since I started my blog. Growing up I wanted to be a nurse, then went to school to be a police officer, changed gears into business and marketing, graduated with graphic design and its led me to hear. I never had big goals or felt like I was on the right path, but motherhood and this space has brought me all the feels.
4. We’ve been looking for land to grow some flowers of our own. My husband grew up on a flower farm (both the peonies and iris’ pictured are from their farm), property prices can just go ahead and come down a little now.
5. I don’t know if the feeling of being done is for real.. like we feel like we are done having kids but I’d be fibbing if I said it doesn’t come to mind every now and again.
.
That’s all for now friends. Share a little something about you below — say hi if you are new hear and thanks for reading til the end 🥰🙌🏻
  • Throwing it back to the other day when I went for an evening dip with my beaver @float.eh — it was such a hoot heading to the beach with @juliechristine_xo and gave me a peek into how much fun this summer is going to be.⠀ ⠀
#ad As you can see these aren’t your typical floaties... or should I say @float.eh ’s 😉 They are proudly Canadian, made with quality in mind. You gotta check out their website and see what other fun Canadian designs they have. [ go to float-eh.ca or see my story highlights for the link ] 🇨🇦
  • “When’s the last time you did something for the first time?” Those were words spoken to our group before starting our Tough Mudder course this past weekend in Whistler. Holy moly guys, I was nervous getting started on that course. Let’s just say... nervous shits are real 😅😂🙊 but that’s what makes it so great. Doing something that literally scares the shit outta you. We all pushed through, all 16km and 25 obstacles and it was FUN, hard but really freaking fun. Even though I’m hobbling around today, dang foot cramp (and literally sore all over) I’m so pumped on doing something new, pushing myself and having such an amazing group of friends tackle it together.

PS our men of tough mudder not pictured but SO equally appreciated.
