Top Five of 2015

Business Tips

Wow! What a year we had here with Creative Wife & Joyful Worker. There were so many highlights — and so much work put into keeping this blog go round. It was so neat for me to look back over the holidays and see which posts were the most successful over the last year… and even just as interesting to see which ones were not so popular.

Some big changes happened with the blog as I switched platforms over and created a brand new look for the blog. Creative Wife & Joyful Worker turned more into a brand then just a name that I made up. With the blog launch giveaway post, that I teamed up with a number of incredible businesses on, the blog was off to a great start!

Collaborations is what we are all about here, I thrive on sharing about new businesses that I discover. Connecting with other unique and creative individuals so rewarding to me, being able to see others come to this space and also enjoy their talents is the cherry on top. I have put together the top five posts from 2015 and it is no surprise that the popular posts were also ones that I had help from some inspiring individuals.

Number One: Two Momma Essentials

For this post I got to collaborate with two amazing shops, Glitter & Spice and Lily Jade. These businesses are very well established and their items are of the most incredible quality. When I say essentials, I mean it! that is exactly what these ladies produce. Photography for this post was done by E Fraser Photography, she did an incredible job capturing the these items.

Number Two: Holiday Gift Guides

It was no surprise for me to see our holiday gift guides in the top five from last year. These were so popular and I got such great feedback from the businesses involved and others who participated. I spent a great deal of time sourcing our unique items for both Men, Women and Kids. A lot of the items included in the giveaway were from local shops that I love to support.

Number Three: Hello Baby West: Dreamcatcher Baby Shower

For this post I had the pleasure of sharing the baby shower that I hosted for my sister’s new baby boy. The styling and most of the collaboration with the shops involved was thanks to Chic Fete. These ladies did an incredible job bringing together local talented businesses to show off their products. Featured around the Dreamcatcher baby book created by Mushy Books and captured by Jayme Anne Photography, all around this event and post was a success!

Number Four: Unicorn Themed Birthday Party

This year marked Sophie’s second birthday – yahoo! My original thought was to do something small, but then as the wheels started turning and more collaboration requests came in that were perfectly on point with the theme, we turned her party into a gorgeous Unicorn Themed Party. Number Five: A Cozy Classic

One of the most exciting changes that came to the blog in 2015 was the addition of style posts. It was something that I had thought about for a while but didn’t quite have the confidence get the ball rolling. When I had the opportunity to work alongside Hunni’s to put together style posts featuring some of their newest items in store — it was meant to be. I am so glad that I took the leap to this route for the blog and you can look forward to many more style posts in 2016.

Most importantly though, THANK YOU so much for all of your support. We wouldn’t be here checking our top posts if it wasn’t for you coming in and reading them. It has been such a pleasure shareing my passions with each one of you that stops by and I am so excited to see what 2106 will bring to Creative Wife & Joyful Worker.

XO
