Preschool to Grade Twelve First Grad of... Free Printables for Back to School

Somehow it is almost back to school time already. How does it always go so fast? I am working on getting ready earlier this year and while doing that I made some back to school signs for the kids. I’ve always documented their back to school days with a chalk and chalkboard sign but I decided to do something different this year (and most likely for all the years going forward). You are now covered from Preschool to Grade Twelve with these Back to School: First Grade of… Free Printable downloads.

We printed ours out at home and then put them inside an 8X10 frame. The printables all have a faint border to know where to trim down to. Making it easy to cut your 8 1/2 X 11 sized home printed sheet into an 8 X 10 photo for a frame. We took some photos of our kids to test it out and are so happy with how they look.

The kids had fun holding their signs and taking photos together. They were way more into making faces at me then smiles and Sophie’s sign didn’t ever make it upright, but hey I’ll take it! I’d love to see the photos you take of your kids. Make sure to tag me on Instagram (@creativewifeandjoyfulworker) so that I can take a peek.

  • I’ve been trying to convince James that he needs his own “blog” Instagram account since he might be getting just a little bit more involved by the new year (starting with our holiday guide). I’ve almost got him convinced, it’s just choosing the handle that is the hard part. 😂 taking suggestions 👇🏻👇🏻 comment below something witty below... Keep in mind he has already declined “joyfuljames” (A little background of where CW & JW comes from, it’s mine and James’ initials)

  • Today’s slow moving, cozy feeling Saturday was just what I needed. Currently in bed with Sophie asleep beside me wondering if I should go to sleep or get my butt up and get some work done... decision decisions.
  • Have you heard the saying, "The Days are Long, but the Years are Short." Whelp, who's ready for the days to feel even longer with this cold draft called winter that just rolled in. I always find the days seem even longer when they are spent inside. With knowing that you are going to be spending more time inside it is important to think about the quality of air that you and your kids are breathing in. Fun Fact: Did you know that the air quality inside your home may be 5X worse than the air quality outside. Say What!? We've been improving our indoor air quality and warming up our bodies with the new Dyson Cool + Hot Link Air Purifier. Sharing more about this product (and why my Mom keeps saying she wants it for Christmas) on the blog. Click profile link.

  • As I was going to bed last night I was thinking about social media and how we don’t always “see the big picture”. I took this photo last night and went just close enough so that you couldn’t see the frying pan on the table and the fairy wings on the ground. While doing work I kinda thought maybe it was silly not to show the whole scene and didn’t post. This social media world is interesting, and showing highlights are definitely fun, but let’s remember they are just highlights. Behind everyone’s beautiful feed there is always a whole bunch of crazy, tiring, hard life going on. It just isn’t as easy to photograph and/or share. So here’s to trying to keep it real and if you swipe right you won’t see the frying pan but you will see the unedited version of this same photo. Crazy what a little brightening and filter can do. I guess what I’m trying to say and what I’ve noticed from my own experience is to be happy with what you are blessed with, don’t compare with what you see from others and always do what makes you happy.
