Gifts for the Holiday Host/ess

SMALL BUSINESS FEATURE

This post is sponsored by Wayfair.ca, all views, opinions and holiday host gift ideas are my own.

I absolutely adore the holidays and everything that goes along with them, especially all the turkey! Though, we all know that it can be somewhat overwhelming when (in my family anyways) it is your turn to host the family gathering. There is so much prep that goes into the home before and cleanup afterwards that it is important not to forget about the host.

When the night finally comes we want to make sure that the host/ess that is putting on the gathering is going to also enjoy themselves to the fullest. An idea that I had was creating a gift that is more then just a bottle of wine or their favorite alcoholic beverage but something that they can enjoy beyond the event. Even better, something that can help them to relax following the big day and their (possibly multiple) days of cleanup.

A holiday gift basket with a collection of your favorite things is the perfect gift to give as you can customize it with treats and nick nacks that you know your friend or family member will love. I have created a sample basket of some of my favorite holiday items and treats to relax to give you an idea of what it could look like and to show that you don’t have to go overboard with spending, but a few handmade specialty items make just the right package.

The best part is, you can create a basket as big or as small as you want, caturing each item to match the needs of your friend of family member hosting your holiday party. I have included some of my favorite gifting items to give ideas and have listed them below. First things first though is finding the perfect basket. I am all about gifting items that come in packaging that can be reused, whether you are looking for a small and simple basket or a larger basket to hold bigger gifts you can find a large assortment on Wayfair.ca.

Think about a theme for a basket and how you would like the host/ess to feel when opening. I went for a relaxing theme that was focused on handmade, with a little touch of something sweet.

My Personalized Basket Contents:

Holiday Wreath: I created this DIY Holiday Wreath myself. It is an easy DIY most should be able to create from contents in their own home.

be Merry Wall Hang: Sprig West

Milk Bath and Bath Balms: Bébé de Luxe

Get Closer All Natural Deoderant: K’pure Naturals

Settle Down Essential Oil Spray: K’pure Naturals

Handmade Wood Ornament: The Uncommon Good

Candy Cane: The perfect touch of sweet.

Shredded Paper: Baskets always look more full and fancy when you add a little sparkle to your packaging. Have fun with it!

It is that easy, I added these eight items and created something that will easily make the night of the person that has been slaving away stressing about the holiday event they are going to be hosting. I encourage you to take a minute this holiday season and try to do a little extra for those that are doing a little extra for you. Something that takes a few minutes will mean the world to the receiver. Enjoy the holidays and bless you.
