10 DIY Valentines Day Party Decorations & Valentine’s Food Ideas
1. Floral Heart Garland
I created this DIY for my submission to I Like Her Style Vancouver and absolutely LOVE it! Was so thrilled to see it accepted and published in their magazine and can’t get over how amazing it looks from just a few simple supplies.

2. Homemade Treat Bags (3 Ideas)
Julie came over with not one but THREE treat bags, some with candies and others with chocolate pretzels and cookies. Each of the bags are a little bit different, but they’re all so cute. She has them sorted from easy, easier to easiest in her blog post. Which would you do?

3. Chocolate-Covered Pretzels
These cute little things were one of the treats that Julie made. They would work great inside a little treat bag like she did above or on their own how we styled them on our candy charcuterie spread.

4. Hanging Heart Wreath
This craft would be so perfect to do with kids. Keisha shares how she created this heart wreath on her blog and within another Valentine’s Day inspired party (It’s featured on BC Living here!) We used the wreath in our decor resting on the shelf, thought if you created a few it would look super cute as a backdrop hanging off the wall, too.

5. Chocolate-Covered Popcorn & Sprinkles
The hardest part is melting the chocolate; the rest is pure enjoyment. You have to make sure when melting chocolate you get it just right. If it’s too hot, it will get hard again and won’t be easy to work with or taste as good. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the spread out popcorn and then top with sprinkles to add a pop of colour. Simple and delicious!
6. Blush Pink Heart Free Printable
Another previous year’s Valentine’s creation is this simple free printable heart. Created in my favorite colour you can print and frame for literally instant home decor, be it Valentine’s Day or any other day of the year.

7. Flavoured Italian Soda Recipe
One of my Instagram partnerships is with SodaStream and I put together this Italian Soda Recipe to share there. It turns out to be such a pretty shade of pink, tastes like a milkshake and satisfies all the sweet and creamy cravings all in one.

8. Valentine’s X & O Banner
This post was a guest post a few years back from some girls that I connected with on Instagram. It’s still one of my favorites as it’s super simple to make and such a pretty look when it’s finished. See photos by clicking the link below.

9. Heart Shaped Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Two years ago Keisha planned a Valentine’s Day party with a handful of other local bloggers. I created some heart shaped chocolate covered strawberries and skewered them to make arrow hearts. For this little party we kept it simple and changed the recipe, using coconut oil instead of marshmallows. The main differences are the taste and the chocolate and oil combo melts a lot quicker.

10. Vegan Heart Sugar Cookies
I may or may not have snagged these from my friend The Cake Mama a few days before this party. hehe! She was speaking at a Vancity Business Babes event I attended, had the most amazing sweets tables and at the end of it all somehow still had some left over. So, when you can’t do it yourself, confide in a friend or local business to create the perfect treat for you.
