For as long I can remember I have been going to Cultus Lake during the summer. It’s super easy to get to and has multiple great beaches along the shoreline. Over the years I’ve been able to see more business come, grow and become another bucketlist item on my summer list. These five things to do near Cultus Lake are what I would choose to be my top destinations around the lake for the family.
Spend the morning, afternoon — heck why not all day? You could plan a weekend getaway easily. Find a cabin on the lake to stay and spend multiple days on the lake, yes please! You’d have lots of time to take in the views and explore the attractions, local restaurants, icecream and more!

Five Things to do Near Cultus Lake

Cultus Lake Waterslides
When I think about Cultus Lake the waterslides are often the first thing that comes to mind. As you drive down Cultus Lake road Cultus Lake Waterpark is hard to miss and as soon as they come in sight you hear the kids in the car exclaiming, “Can we go there!!!”
This summer we got to spend a day with friends during a media visit. The owner of the waterslides came to share some stories from the park and it really sunk deep how much of a family attraction Cultus Lake Waterpark is. There is so much though put into which rides become a part of the park and how much green space they have for families to have the space to have a little place to rest and nourish. We had an amazing time this past month and as always can’t wait to go back!

Cultus Lake Adventure Park
Directly across from Cultus Lake Waterslides you can find Cultus Lake Adventure Park. This amusement park is filled with rides that are enjoyable for all ages. We brought our 9, 4 and 2 year old and they each had their fair share of rides. Along with the array or rides you can find an obstacle course, popular carnival style food and a full mini golf course. With extended hours during the month of August you can come out afterwork and have and easily have a fun evening of fun and laughs.

Hike Teapot Hill
This beginner hike is great for the family. I love driving out for the day at Cultus and exploring teapot hill before finding a spot along the lake to relax. As you hike up the mountain you can spot all sorts of different styled teapots hidden along the mountain side. It keeps the kids engaged as they continue to hike and seek out all the teapots. The climb averages around half an hour up.

Cultus Lake Marina
Don’t have a boat, no problem! Cultus Lake Marina is known for their power boat and jet ski rentals. What better way to experience the lake then to have some power underneath you. You can have up to 13 people out for the day on one of their pontoon boat, 7-11 in a power boat or head out on your own with a jet-ski. It’s always a good idea to make a reservation before you go out to make sure that what you are looking for is available.

Roadside Icecream
There are a few roadside icecream stands on your way from the Cultus Lake to Yarrow and they are always on my mind (and the kids) when we are finished our outing of the day. Once you stop once believe me it will become a tradition, especially when you get the kids involved.
When I stop and think about it I always feel so blessed to have such a beautiful destination so close to home. Cultus Lake has always been a favorite of mine and these 5 things to do around the lake make it that much more enjoyable.
If you haven’t had a chance to explore what’s around Cultus Lake yet, I hope you do get out there at some point before the summer ends.
Thank you so much to Cultus Lake Waterpark, Cultus Lake Adventure Park and Cultus Lake Marina for gifting us experiences this year. We will be back!
