3 Must Have Hospital Bag Items + Giveaway

June 25, 2016

SMALL BUSINESS FEATURE

With this pregnancy being my second time around there are a couple things that I have already done differently with preparing for baby. Something that I have thought more about is the items that I will be including in my hospital bag. I am excited to share these must have hospital bag items with you today and also give you a chance to win these items for yourself.

One of the major differences this time around is that I actually have a real diaper bag. It wasn’t until Sophie was two that I got my first real diaper bag (before that I used just a regular tote bag) and wow does it ever make a difference. It really is one of those things that you don’t realize what you are missing out on until you get one for yourself. I plan on filling up the pictured brown Fawn Design bag with lots of hospital goodies but the three I am highlighting today are ones that I have handpicked as must haves and you will see why as you continue to read.

Vonbon Apparel Multiuse Washcloth set

With my last pregnancy we never found out the gender of baby so we brought a grey onesie to the hospital, which that is all fine and dandy, but common… when you know the gender how much more exciting is it to pick out babies first outfit?! I am in love with the knotted sleepers from Vonbon Apparel as they make diaper changing a breeze when your little babe is sleeping and not to mention their dreamy designs. The matching headband is a no brainer… babies first headband at the hospital, yes please!

We are also bringing along this set of multi-use washcloths that are a new gift set added to Vonbon Apparel’s line. The super soft fabric is perfect and I am sure are going to come in handy for the early on breastfeeding days to bath times and more.

Zoe Organics // Natural Products for Mom and Baby

The second must have in our bag that include three different balm’s from Zoe Organics. This is another you don’t know what you are missing until you try out the real deal. My first time at the hospital I brought generic nipple balm and found that it was super hard to squeeze from the container let alone spread that all over your nipple evenly. I am looking forward to the smooth application of Zoe Organics nipple balm made with 100% natural ingredients. I feel like the diaper balm is a bit of a no brainer, have you seen babies first poops, make sure you put the balm on before those arrive. ha!

I have also chosen to pack the everything balm because holy, when your milk come in it comes in… am I right? Ladies, my one advice that I will give everyone is not to forget to cream those boobs after baby is born, your milk comes in and it comes in and you want to make sure you are keeping your boobs as moisturized as possible.

Covered Goods 4 in one use nursery cover for mom and baby

The last of my must have hospital bag items that I didn’t even know existed when Sophie was born is these multi-use nursing covers by Covered Goods. We loved having visitors come to the hospital and I am a little more of a private person so having the option of a super lightweight and breathable nursing cover is a great idea, if you are anything like me you might just want to have something pretty to cover up with. I know lots of you ladies are confident with feeding in front of anyone, but hey.. if you are a first timer.. you never really know how you will feel until you experience it yourself.

Not only are these going to be great for a little privacy but also when leaving the hospital another use is to have as a carseat cover to keep baby hidden and the blazing sun (we have a summer baby coming) from their eyes on your trek out of the hospital.

Baby Essentials for the Hospital Bag 3 Must have Hospital Bag essentials recommended by Creative Wife and Joyful Worker

For all you ladies packing for the hospital, enjoy it! Treat momma to some special items as well, it could be a nice headband, kimono, bra… you name it. The way I see it, we are going in there to push a baby out of us… I think we are allowed to treat ourselves and our babies to a few nice things before we do so.
