Unless you have been living under a rock I am sure you are well aware the hair scrunchie trend is back. When I first got my hands on a few hair scrunchies last year I often resorted to just wearing it with a top knot. As I started to play around the style more I started to create different looks that incorporated my scrunchie. Along with Heydy, Raising Jay and Abel, and Julie, Julie Christine XO, we have put together nine different ways to style a hair scrunchie
Not only have they been popular additions for my typical go to daily hair styles, but also new looks incorporating braids. One thing I love the most about the scrunchie trend is that it looks great is any hair type. From thinner wavy hair to long thick straight hair and then of course the super curly wild hair. All three of us styling our hair scrunchies have such different hair types, but it didn’t effect being able to pull off a great look.
Thank you to Shop Chelsea King for providing the Scrunchie’s for this post. Emily from Shop Chelsea King is a BC Based Business who hand makes her scrunchie. You can see all her styles on her online shop. I love that she is always updating and creating new styles for each season.
How to Style a Hair Scrunchie Nine Different Ways
-
High Pony Tail
I don’t typically style my hair in a high pony when I am leaving the house, but I love the look of this. The loose curls combined with the hair scrunchie is effortless chic without looking too sporty.

Half Up Topsie Tail
This was a last minute style that ended up being one of my favorites. Remember topsie tails? Try it out with only half of your hair and then add your scrunchie underneath your twisted hair to complete the look.

First Tail Braid
Style Tip: Your scrunchie can look a little over powering at the bottom of a braid so tuck in the extra fabric in so that it isn’t as bulky. Learn how to do a fishtail in this post.
